Strategy
- Has an easy to avoid tentacle slam attack but do not get too close as it has a grab attack that induces frenzy which can kill unwary or low level players.
- Can be easily killed with a long range weapon.
- Counters - None
- Other - The Mole will move it's head to it's rear if you get behind it, however, this is also an excellent time to attack it as it takes a moment for the the head to transition to the other side of the body.

Reminds me a little of HP Lovecrafts Moon Beast (The version with tenticals around it mouth). No surprise though that HPL is referenced as this whole game is very HPL, in a very good way :)

Is it normal for them to do no damage? Found one in central pthumeru and it only "pushed" me with the tentacle attack even when I stood still for it. I'll save the chalice for a while if anyone ends up wanting the glyph

I found one of these not long after the game came out. Unfortunately I didn't know how incredibly rare they are and deleted the dungeon without thinking anything of it. Even now after hundreds and hundreds of hours spent in chalice dungeons since then, I've never seen a single one.

Found one in a Pthumeru Root Chalice dungeon I made, first time I'd seen one, underestimated it and got grabbed and almost died by frenzy on my overleveled character.

Just created a dungeon with this creature in it. Glyph is rjfjbf7m. It's a Central Pthumeru with Fetid Offering. Found on Layer 3. The dungeon also has an Uncanny Threaded Cane (Layer 1 pre-lamp) and an Uncanny Saw Spear (Layer 3 post-lamp). Also found a Tempering Droplet Gem, forgot which floor. First boss is Maneater Boar, second boss is Merciless Watchers, so very easy to get to lower floors.

Kinda amazing how From decided to give this rare as F*ck being a unique model/attack/Ai, but couldnt be assed in Ds3 and reused every asset, like those rats and basilisks.
