Technically a transformed beast claw with fire paper applied is also "fire arms".
BloodBorne is NOT accurate!
this game portrays England as a horrible place to live in, with beasts everywhere and poor sanitation, they also include eldritch horrors beyond human comprehension, and funny pale guys who hold lamps for some reason!
This is all accurate, the one thing i hate is the fact that it portrays England as having guns! we dont have guns! we are such a backwards country that all we do is stab each other! this game got it wrong!
michael zaki! i wont forgive this, yu have 3 days to remove all guns from bloodborne, to make this a true england simulator, or i will do very, very bad things!

I didnt pick up the gun when I first came to hunters dream, and now I cant find it. Does anyone know where i can find it?

Sorry for the noobish question, but is there any point to fortifying a fire arm if all I use it for is parrying?

I'm At this boss fight and still don't have a gun. Does he drop a gun?
- Anonymous
Surprised nobody seems to have ever done a Dr Cid cosplay from since you have access to duel pistols, a couple of rifles, a cannon and even a freaking Gatling gun.
My favorite firearm. A piece of metal to punch people with.

You can get a *****ing minigun? Well hell yeah bloodborne minigun build here I come!

For some reason when I shoot to parry someone my character will aim up and to the left causing it to miss a lot even though i'm locked on and the target is not moving, getting kind of annoying when it makes pointless deaths happen

I wanted to be edgy and hold my firearm in my right hand and my primary weapon in the left but nooo we can't be edgy and primarily use our firearms and then throw in some r1s from our left handed primary 3/10 from I'm gonna have to complain on Reddit about this

Which Kind of firearm is more effective for stunning / parry enemies? A pistol or a shotgun?
- Anonymous
Does a higher scaling of bloodtinge increases the chance of stunning / parry enemies? I think about my beloved Evelyne. (Sorry for bad english, german)

Hi ppl. I don't get why we have to level up the damage of those guns since they are only usefull for the parry. Am I misssing something here :D ?

There is a weapon in the game that can be aimed like the bow for distant attacks? Mainly to attract enemies

To the Wiki Host - The Flamesprayer is acquired after the (SPOILER ALERT) Cathedral is accessed. From there, return to Gilbert who states the reason why he is ill, not to worry about him and on the second conversation (meaning you have to talk to him twice) he will give you the weapon. It isn't after the Cleric Beast but after the Cathedral is accessed. - M

the rosmarinus is in the area before the big alien boss, room with many werwolfes on the right in a small passage (the cosmic eye watcher badge). also allows to buy poison throwing knifes, i think.

I'm still a fairly new player(level 50), my character is mostly a close-range fighter, meaning that most of my points are on stamina, vitality and strength with only ten bloodtinge, also i rarely use firearms unless i'm facing an enemy that's larger or is equipped with a gun as well, but the hunter pistol is becoming less and less effective as i move along. Anyone have any advice as to which firearms would be best for my character?

Why do guns have a durability stat if they never actually lose any of it?

It's unfortunate the firearms were done so poorly. The Cannon was more or less overpowered, thus the patch. The Flamesprayer and Rosmarinus feel somewhat sloppy for a fast-paced game. Evelyn and the Hunter Pistol feel almost identical. I think next time they should really add magic to your left handed weapons if Bloodborne gets a sequel. Perhaps they could have also added different types of ammunition too like fire-based bullets and explosive bullets or allowed firearms to be used in your right hand too. Disappointing really. Sigh ...

Do you guys have any suggestion for an Arcane/Strength buit? I'm using the Hunter's Pistol, but I think that there's a better option Could someone help me?

Since I can't edit the page I'll just add this here:
A bit of interesting trivia, not much, but you can perform a rolling attack (or rollshot) if you shoot and projectile firearm (piston, canon, blunderbuss etc.) after a roll. Your character will be recovering from the roll animation and will stand on one knee to shoot the weapon. This does not add any special properties to the attack and can only be performed when rolling meaning that you need to be unlocked, so isn't too practical.
Another bit of trivia is that you can use the Monocular and still shoot with your gun, you even get a reticle, turning this into a third person shooter almost. This is useful if you want to hit a specific target like aggro a moving target or Patches in the nightmare.

When I first played bloodborne, I knew there were guns, but I didn't know that they were tied to the bloodtinge skill. So when I saw it, I assumed it would be some kind of awesome new blood magic mechanic where you got different kinds of sacrificial daggers or something to sacrifice some of your health for amazing spells or buffs, you know, since the game is based on the fact that the Old Blood is all powerful. But no, just some gun mechanic. Guns are nice and all, but just so boring. I wanted to see more things like the Chikage in item form or something like that. At least I can look forward to new DLC...
so useless
