As you progress through the game is the game going to stop giving you the 20 blood vials each time you warp in and out of an area? My game just started this tonight and I'm not sure how I'm suppose to finish the game this way. Seems like a glitch. Btw I'm in blood moon hypergoul area and have finished off the three hunters thus far.

Follow the path down the cave until you exit at the bottom. DON'T run straight out. There is a Yharnamite at the end of the path with three turret guns that will fire in sequence straight down the middle of the path. To avoid the shots, wait until the middle gun has fired, then duck between cover on the LEFT side of the path. No fire is directed down the left of the path. Be careful though, halfway down the path, next to the Amygdala skull there is a pressure pad which will fire a hidden turret at you. When you can get close enough, attack the turrets to take them out of action, (there is a 5th turret in the area aiming directly at the second Yharnhamite) then kill the two Yharnhamites. Continue down the path to find three more Yharnamites and another Boom Hammer hunter. The Yharnamites will throw Delayed Molotovs at you, which have a several second fuse before they blow. Keep an eye on where they throw them in relation to you. You're going to want to pull the Boom Hammer hunter up to the area where the turrets are to have enough room to fight him effectively. Once they're all dealt with, there's a small section lower than the main path with an item and another Yharnamite.

*****it people, please be more specific with your instructions and details. Adding ambiguous comments makes it very difficult for newbies to understand who/what/where/how of things you are discussing.

Has anyone figured out what the random locked doors you encounter sometimes do? Theres one in cathedral ward area all the way at the bottom where the two trolls are and the giant with the chainball. If you go down the stairway theres a chest and slso a door thats locked. Not sure what it does... and i think there was another before the ward

Just a heads up to any who don't know, the guy is not a good person. If you inform him of the church he will kill the npc's there. No idea what happens if you send him to the clinic. I preemptively tried killing him cause he gave off some nasty vibes. Once I agroed him, he transformed into a really nasty unique beast with . I recommend using the terrain and poison knives to your advantage. His beast dialogue is pretty interesting too.

A Madman's knowledge can be obtained by talking to the woman while wearing the Black Church Set. This will also result in the option to invite her to a safe place.

The npc will talk to you if you wear the black church garb. I was wielding a torch at this moment, but this needs to be confirmed

Accidentally made this a comment, so i'll make it a real post now! *ahem* I don't see it up there so i'll post it down here! There is a lore note once you go up the ladder after killing the brick troll, the old man with a gattling gun, and the rifle villager that over looks the bridge. Once you go up the ladder, if you follow around the edge to the right its laying on the ground around some loose tile. It says "The sky and the cosmos are one. -the choir" !

glitchy area above the boss fight room, where the pig is: i kinda got thrown by him against the fence and the rocks and suddenly found myself on top of said fence, from which i dropped down and landed in the boss area, where i got stuck between some gravestones looking at the rear exit. Since bold hunter mark took too long to activate i think i just lost 70k worth of blood echoes now, if i cant defeat the boss(es) that is.....be carefull guys!

I don't know how to edit this page but here's a strategy. Items To Bring: Bolt Paper Suggested Weapon: Ludwig's Holy Blade (Obtained by finding a 'blade of light' badge located at the end of the optional path up the elevator in the safe area of the Cathedral. There are many gunners and black-clothed men hiding in darker spaces.) Benefits of Ludwig's Holy Blade: The weapon transformation is essentially a ultra greatsword- but the R2 charge attack packs immense damage and the standard mode is aggressive and fast. Fighting The Boss: Upon your first time engaging Rom his health bar and name won't appear- and he'll be passive. After you die and re-enter the dungeon he'll be auto aggressive. Phase One: Rom is rather helpless in round one, summoning a group of spiders who can easily take a third of your health out or one shot you if they flank your back. Never turn your back to the spiders. The spiders can jump at you and land on their heads, exposing their backsides. Hitting them when they're standing on their heads is an instant kill. Flanking spiders is a one to two hit kill. Taking a spider from the front is somewhat safe, but their heads act as a physical guard. A three hit combo will allow two hits to chip their 'masks' and the third strike will deal the final blow. A moveset to note: If a spider jumps to the side, it will follow up with a jump forward. If spiders raise their legs, back up and avoid their continuous combo. When most of the spiders are dispatch they'll slowly mimic the bodily movements of Rom, allowing you to flank them easily as they panic in their slow movement. When the spiders are dead, pop a bolt paper and switch to greatsword mode. Charge the R2 attack when you have a good shot at his side, and yes you'll have to lead the shot some. Proceed to keep wailing on the boss until he begins to glow and spin, when he does this you can snap in one to two shots before he completely disappears. Pan your camera until you see him drop in with his spiders again- but this time you need to run to him asap. Phase Two: Rom will have three new tricks up his sleeve- a pair of arcane magic attacks and an area of effect detonation. The first attack is where he'll hail crystal/ice chunks at you from a diagonal, aerial angle. This is indicated when he rears up on his hind legs. The best way to avoid this is to either spam your roll dodge or run directly toward him. The second attack is indicated by an eccentric rolling around motion, where the same hunks of ice/crystal will rise from the ground wherever the ground turns blue. This can be easily avoided if you patrol the outside 'border' of the spider formation. You must dispatch the spiders as you have before while calmly pacing your walking around the ground shards. The aerial volley occurs mostly when you're too far away- but it happens at random in close range. The ground volley rises frequently when dispatching the spiders, but stay calm. Three hit the spiders safely while keeping an eye on the boss- don't take the risk of flanking spiders and wait for them to headbutt for free kills. When the spiders are dispatched and you close in, be wary of his area of effect explosion (similar to Praal but smaller). Use a bolt paper and lead a charged R2 into his side. Spam him with light attack with either mode of the weapon you see fit until he disappears again. Phase 3: The same rules apply- only Rom will now ttempt to charge you or flail around in an attempt to stunlock you for the spiders to follow up on. Rinse and repeat, the bolt paper is the saving grace. Item Drops: The spiders will drop madman knowledge on occasion. Strategy provided by TorbyssTeck (PSN: TKLusticar)

if you have issues with the large spider, it can be poisoned with 4 knives - will need 3x to die. Not all spiders are poison-resistant!

I killed the blood-starved beast and the door isn't open and I'm not sure why I killed the old lady in front of the door earlier does that have anything to do with it?

After activating the elevator if your riding it down you can get off mid-way onto a building top, there is a teleporter here that you can take for a short cut right to the fog gate

Ahhhh... so annoyed. Didn't now anything about the snatcher but knew about Vicar Amelia. Got to the boss entrance with around 20000 blood echoes (had killed the two guys to the right of the cathedral) went back to the lamp. Thought it couldn't hurt to get a few more blood echoes and remembered there were some crows to the right of the stairs. Died to the snatcher who only had a sliver of health. Lost all blood echoes :(

After killing Rom and going here to the unseen village (hypogean gaol) theres some things im curious about. 1) Who killed all the snatchers (guys with bags) their bodies are everywhere. 2) It seems all the enemies here are made from body parts, who did this. I 3) If you look at the walls near the one reborn boss entrance, you will see many frozen bodies stuck in walls; it looks like they were running away from domething and got turned into stone. 4) Last, who is the random guy that dies in the middle of the area where the three hostile hunters are. After killing them, you can hear a moan and see this random dead body.

Bloodborne is a fun game and all but I don't understand why everything in the game happens the way it does. I know we kill monsters to save the people but what was the main goal? Pale blood was the quest so what is it and why did we need it. In dark souls it was to find a way to fend off the darkness and find some way to break the cycle.

Lost about 5x to them. 1st time was to get the feel for the fight, rest I think my game glitched. Repeatedly got her down to no health and just kept wailing on her including v attacks, she wouldn't die.... Reset ps4, she wasnt there when I came back, anyone else? Also very easy to v attack

Is anyone else having an issue where you can't travel to the lanterns near the witch or in the forest from the Hunters Dream?

The last theory is hard to understand... It implies somesort of "inception", isn't it? Nevermind... 1. Why are they called "Blood Echoes"? Does that mean "Echoes of Reality"? 2. In my opinion the player seek in the real world "Blood Healing" and therefore faces the sick Yahrnam... Thus he agrees the contract and is binded to the "Hunters Dream" like all hunters seem to be... Nevertheless the power of mind seems to affect the world somehow... Maybe canalized through the relics of the tomb of gods?

Once in jail immediately went to the boss monster Black Paarl , defeated him and opened fire on his graveyard , but go back to jail I can not ( death by mobs with bags does nothing ) . Tell me again how to get there?

                                                                • Anonymous

                                                                  • Anonymous

Approaching the ending to this fantastic game! Vying for the secret ending I think. I followed up and am now reading Childhood's End. Just to point out to anyone interested in the notions touched upon in the game and following post-completion depression (this is a thing, right?)... Good news: It's confirmed Syfy are turning Arthur C. Clarke's Childhood's End into a mini-series, premiering later this year in December.

                                                                    • Anonymous

Where's the entrance? I've tried jumping off the tower to land on the balcony and it's out of reach. HELP!

                                                                      • Anonymous

The first viper pit mob is extremely easy to take down if you just slowly walk behind him and wait till he stands over the body at the bottom of the staircase. You can sneak attack him and get a couple more slashes in while he is down for an easy kill.

                                                                        • Anonymous

                                                                          • Anonymous

I'm new to this style of game and have no interest in trying to fight other players. I never even bought the sinister bell. So am I going to have to play this area offlin, because I really enjoy reading the notes?

                                                                            • Does anyone else think/know if that glowing beast skull at the alter where you fight Vicar is actually Lawrence's skull? Is this described anywhere? Do I have this misconstrued? Anyone have thoughts?

My reason is that this is likely thru Lawrence's POV, and you don't meet him at all throughout the game.

                                                                              • Anonymous

There was another girl's voice asking about her sister. I have her the white ribbon. At first her comments were destraught. Then when I went to walk away she got weird. I went back to the window later and the light was off (no answer). I found her down the ladder by the statue wielding other thing. She either jumped, or was killed. Then you get the ribbon back. 1, did anyone else experience this? And 2, did my actions cause the deaths of 2 little girls? If so, that's kind of messed up.

                                                                                • These guys attack speed is like x5 with their combos, their hands are made of Blades of Mercy!!

There seems to not yet be wiki pages for them, who knows what their defensive weakness' are?

                                                                                  • Anonymous

I was leveling up an Arcane build when it looked like I was continually getting hit by a shotgun blast whenever I tried to strike the Church guy and the Wheelchair dude outside of Brador's Cell. After some testing, the "explosive" patch is under the floor near the chair right before you turn into the passageway to his cell, and then I noticed after a flurry of attacks that I WAS getting hit by a shotgun blast that seemed to be originating from the dead Wheelchair mob (but he has a pistol). It seems like I am fighting an invisible enemy, has anyone else experienced this?

                                                                                    • Anonymous

                                                                                      • Anonymous

Do NOT kill her before starting the Living Failures boss fight. The walkthrough states that you kill her for the third fluid after reloading the area but that ends the questline and you do not get the Milkweed rue. You have to start the boss fight and let her change into a bodiless enlarged head form before you kill her, or else you fail the quest. This is only stated clearly if you visit the Saint Adeline page itself.

                                                                                        • Anonymous
