NPCs in Bloodborne are characters who are initially friendly to the player. Some of these characters may become hostile in specific situations, such as if attacked by the player or due to story progression. Many NPCs will stay indoors during the daytime, but some can still be talked to through windows or doors with a glowing red incense lantern near them, and they'll come out at night to hunt the Beasts.
- Please see Hostile Hunters for a list of hostile NPCs that share weapons, move sets, and character models with the player.
- Please see Old Hunters for a list of friendly NPCs that you may summon via the Old Hunter Bell

It's difficult for me to find any NPCs, I keep knocking doors and keep receaving hostile responses, I managed to save the old woman but just because I knew her location, the rest I didn't know where they were and just died when the blood moon came out.

Were are all the other NPCs to which you can talk to at the windows?

The thing that hunts me is this. After we finished the game and awake in the awakening world. Are the npc still alive? For example some of them died so when we woke up are they still alive in the awakening world?

Why even bother saying if a character can be a merchant if only one of them can be a merchant and only in very rare scenarios that probably won’t happen to most people?

Is there a list anywhere of dialogue spoken by shut-in NPC's that cannot be relocated (other than Gilbert)? Some of it is really strange, and I feel like there are interesting little clues woven into their rambling speeches, especially the NPC's in the Cathedral Ward.

Should've added Ludwig's head as it is technically an intractable NPC...

Credits confirms that iosefka and a character named fake iosefka, or maybe imposter iosefka, have diff voice actors. Real one supplies her special blood for very early game, until Oedon Chapel is unlocked or Father Gascoigne is killed. After that, its fake all the way.
proud to say I was unable to finish a single NPC questline on my blind playthrough (I only found like 3 NPCs)
