Old Hunters are friendly NPCs that may be summoned for co-operation using the Old Hunter Bell. This page lists all available hunters and their summon locations. You will not obtain Vermin for co-op with NPCs, so if you are after ranks for The League you should instead be summoned as a helper into another player's world.

Old Hunter Madman Wallar: Summon sign glows a indigo hue. His summon sign is located on the right hand side of the square plaza in Layer 3. He wields the Amygdalan Arm with Ludwig's Rifle while wearing the Madman attire. He is also located on layer 4 with a blue summon sign in the side section between the main door and the boss door after a room full of enemies. Prospector Olek: Summon sign glows a red hue. His summon sign on layer 3 is located right before the Rom boss fight on the left side before going down the stairs. Extra Note: Can summon both Waller and Olek on layer 3 for Rom boss fight. Olek is in layer 3 of first chalice. right hand side after lamp glows red. doesnt need impurity rune His summon sign on layer 4 red is located after entering the main layer behind a door you can only open from the other side. You'll have to go around and jump down into the room. |

Old Hunter Queen Killer: Summon sign glows a red hue. His summon sign is located before the boss gate on layer 2 and 3 of the Defiled Chalice. Summoning Queen Killer on layer 2 cancels out Olek. Queen Killer is naked wielding the Logarius wheel and the Cannon. Old Hunter Madman Waller: Summon sign glows a indigo hue. Summoning him on layer 3 won't cancel out Queen Killer. He wields the Amygdalan Arm with Ludwig's Rifle while wearing the Madman attire. Old Hunter Olek: Summon sign glows a red hue. His summon sign is located near the lamp on your left hand side. Summoning Olek on layer 2 will cancel out Queen Killer. Impurity Rune is not needed to summon these Hunters |

*The AI behavior for these Old Hunters makes them only wield the Torch outside of combat. When engaging enemies, they will use their more combat-appropriate sidearms.

My TOP 5 Old hunters cooperators (npc summonable only): 1)Valtr 2)Henryk 3)Antal 4)Queen Killer 5)Damian (maybe not the most powerful but is suited for Ebrietas) Special mention for Gremia (Tomb Prospector), very strong and useful to "clean up" Layer 3 on Isz. I consider quite good level Madaras, Olek, Wallar, Alfred (Kirkhammer version), Henriett. Quite insignificant are Jozef, Vitus, Yamamura and Gascoigne (the only one who cannot heal himself).

Unless it was a glitch, I was indeed able to summon Alfred for Blood Staved Beast, even though i had killed Amelia

Tt's funny that npc invaders are able to dodge, yet npc allies don't seem to mind getting stuck in terrible boss combos and aoe-attacks. still helpful though.
Damian is by far the best since he attacks from a distance which regularly aggroes the boss, but before the boss can attack him or kill him you can attack the boss to draw the aggro back. all the melee npcs are basically diversions, so you can attack the boss from behind or the side.

So, is Queen Killer... actually Alfred? Gold ardeo, logarius wheel, and of course the name... There's no information about that NPC, I wish I could know who he actually is.

So, looking at the description for the Old Hunter Bell, it means that all of these people were once hunters of the dream. So at least two of Logarius' followers were hunters of the dream at some point. And one of them preferred to fight mostly naked...
There are instances that I have been able to summon : Henryk & Madra Twin together during fight with ROM in NG mode. Also I was able to Summon Madras Twin & Valtr for fight with Ludwig, The Old Hunter.
Does anyone know how did that happen as I am on NG+2 and I summoned only one of them during NG+ & NG++ ?

It's worth noting that Damien seems to rarely actually attack with his threaded cane, instead spamming various arcane hunter tools. I've seen him use Augur, Call Beyond, Choir Bell, and he seems to especially love Blacksky Eye.

Can they be summoned more than once to help you with a boss if for example you out they die fighting boss?
I swear an NPC hunter has shown up for the Martyr Logarius fight before, but I don't remember who and I'm not sure how to make their sign appear. I can't find anyone talking about them but I'm 100% sure I've had them in past playthoughs.
