Madman Set is an Attire or Armor in Bloodborne.
Madman Set Information
"Most tomb prospectors, members of the Healing Church chosen to explore the old labyrinth, are unable to withstand the weight of the old knowledge, and go mad. This attire is worn by those lost souls.
Truth oft resembles madness, inaccessible to the dull of mind.
Those who go mad are merely thoughtful souls who failed to reach any conclusions. The appendages draped across them are said to be a kind of protective charm, or at least, that is what these lost souls believe with all their hearts."
Madman Set Location
- Available after killing the Forgotten Madman in Lower Hintertomb Chalice
Madman Set Notes
- Has the lowest Frenzy resistance in the game (8 in total), which make sense from a lore perspective.

Somehow i wonder if the appendages are slowly controlling the person holding them, making them into a form of brainsucker... oh, the implications of the lore, so unexplained, yet so filled with healthy theories.

While the set is inferior to the Tomb Prospector Set, the Madman Set is more affordable as it cost 36,000 blood echos for the Tomb Prospector Set.

would look way better without the sluggy thing around the garb

It would be a great idea if the more insight you have wearing this seat the stronger you become but you will see more insane*****

Very fitting name indeed! You must be batshit insane to even consider the notion of running around Bloodborne's Victorian-era London without any shoes on.

The hood makes you look like *****ing Sheev Palpatine. It's all the better when you blast enemies with the Tiny Tonitrus.

Looks like phantasm or something similar wrapped around the garb

Has anyone descended down Loran and Isz Dungeons? I'm guessing you can also get costumes from those as the first 2 chalices gave us costumes respectively.

chose a dark location. sneak up on the enemy. as they turn, open your robes. watch their frenzy. really, reminds me of those exhibitionist weirdos.

On the back of the garb there is a rope which goes around the neck! Did somebody try to hang the madman??

it would make sense that the brainsuckers were once madmen, driven mad with their lust for insight, perhaps also why they drain your insight when er... sucking you? they want it for themselves.

i asked him to stare at a great one and he actually did it the absolute madman!!!
That has got to be the most condescending item description in the game.
