so, ive done a few chalices and around the time i got to deph 3 i noticed the enemies were hitting harder than most late game enemies... is this normal? i barely won against bloodletting beast (granted, im by no means pro, but i would think im doing okay enough) is this normal or was that particular chalice just a pain in the ass all around? i mean... who's idea was it to put a beefed up rom w/ a defensive aoe that can 1 shot? lol i beat it all the same, but it was way harder than the normal rom, almost 2x harder? anywho, are chalices just there for challenges*****s n' giggles, or is there a reward for completing them beyond self satisfaction?

I scoured all three Bloodborne wikis as well as Reddit for glyphs and the details about those glyphs. Then I checked every single one of them to see if they were still active, some of them twice just to make sure they were really dead. This is what I came up with; the fastest paths to all the Runes and Lost / Uncanny weapons as well as all the gem farming glyphs that are still active. Based on my experience running the Pthumeru dungeon it looks like you receive the "Root" version of chalices (re-rolled floors) after the second layer boss of the depth that chalice would produce. In order to get the next depth chalice you defeat the third layer boss. So far the third layer boss hasn't been random in my experience either. In two Pthumeru Depth 1's I got the Watchdog of the Old Lords, and twice now I've fought the Pthumeru Descendant on Layer 3 of Depth 2.

It would seem that 'Root' Chalices are the Pro-Gen Chalices, whereas the others are ...well... not.

Got it from messengers in the static lower P. Chalice, layer 4. costs 9k echoes. they can be seen from the pre area if you look up, and can be accessed by following the path behind an illusionary wall in the big room with the fire witch and 2 fire dogs

Has anyone had their Isz chalice mess up their Ritual Altars? I tried to conduct the Isz chalice ritual and it timed out, leaving an Isz chalice sitting at the altar. Now when I try to use the altar it just won't let me do anything. I tried to conduct the Isz ritual on another altar and the same thing happened there. Now I cannot get into any Isz dungeons at all and a few of my ritual altars are unusable now. I have looked everywhere and there is no help. Anyone have any insight on this at all?
