Bastard of Loran is a consumable ritual Item in Bloodborne.
Bastard of Loran Usage
- Used in Defiled Chalice Ritual.
- Can be added to Cursed and Defiled Root Chalice, Pthumeru Ihyll Root Chalice, Lower Ailing Loran Root Chalice or Isz Root Chalice to add the Curse effect.
Location
- Can be obtained in Ailing Loran Chalice Dungeon (Layer 3), in the optional area between the main unlockable gate and the boss (2 chests with 2 items each)
- Can be found in chests found in Ailing Loran root, Lower Loran root, and isz root challices
- Can be farmed from Loran Silverbeasts (the split faced werewolves) in Lower Loran (This method is better in Lower Loran, but the drop rate is still fairly low.)
- If you just want to open up FRC dungeons, just rush through Ailing Loran and open the two chests (4 qt) you will have more than enough to supply the dungeon, you dont have to open any others.

Someone please edit this page.
You can find 2 more of them in a chest in the Lower Loran story chalice dungeon, Layer 2, Optional treasure room.
Kind of an important info to add imo.
You know, a half-rotted fetus isn't the weirdest thing the Good Hunter carries around in their bag, but it sure does rank pretty high on the list.

If you look closely, the Bastard of Loran resembles in part the Loran Silverbeasts that occasionally drop this item. Its head is twisted to one side, it has patches of silver-white hair or fur on its head, and it even has similar rib-like protrusions jutting from below its rib cage.

Leaving this glyph here for posterity. FRC Loran dskffdu5 contains ten Bastards of Loran, together with 20 Ritual Blood 5, 12 Tomb Mould 5, 13 Blooming Flowers and 4 Red Jelly. If you reload your game in front of the double metal chest that is in the first side area of Layer 3 (treasure room with the witch), you will get 19 Bastards and 30 Flowers in total for this dungeon. A keeper for sure.

Okay I got the Bastards of Loran once already from the Aliling Loran Dungeon but I used them one another dungeon. I've done this dungeon 5 times now and I've done the Root version 3 times clearing them out completely. I haven't found a single Bastard throughout these dungeons. Can somebody tell me if there's another dungeon with bastards in them or can someone please give me a seed with one?

So your hunter finds a skeletor-infant, and decides to carry it around. Does no one else think this is the weirdest thing ever xD

I'm able to buy them right off the bat in NG+ without having progressed much in the dungeons. I didn't check for them until after I beat Rom though.

Is it true that you can get these off of the split faced werewolves? If so, where can you find them?

I made a dungeon with five of these. Four are in a chest in layer 3, though getting there is not too hard because of easy bosses (maneater boar and merciless watchers). Another was found in a coffin earlier in the dungeon (though I don't know exactly where). Glyph is 75j4v8ie. It's an Isz root dungeon without any offerings

+1 Confirmation that the Loran Silverbeast guarding a chest with two Bastard of Loran dropped a single Bastard of Loran himself in the first Ailing Loran Chalice Dungeon, layer 3 pre boss area

I need these materials in order to create the defiled chalice, is there any way of getting them WITHOUT having to kill amygdala in the nightmare frontier? I being the host in that pvp spot but I can't get better gems without losing it, it seems

The loran silverbeast in the first layer of the Ailing Loran Chalice dropped one for me.
taste like rotting flesh, and has a very crunchy texture to it and there was hair in it. would not recommend eating it.
