This guys can actually heal when they are loe. I punched the crap out of one as he suddenly shoved something inside his mouth and got back to 100%. It even has almost the same special effect as the bloodvial.

Dunno why, but now whenever I create a dungeon, I end up encountering like 10 of these dudes wandering around with a pair of wolves in each layer of the labyrinth--no matter which region, depth, or additional rites I choose. They're not difficult, just easy to underestimate.

I'm kind of wondering if maybe the game tries to figure out which enemies you struggle with, and if it increases their spawn rate in dungeons the more they kill you. Because holy *****, I used to NEVER encounter these guys, and now I'm lucky if I make it through a single depth/bonus room without encounter two of them.

        • There are at least three different variations that I have seen. The first are the ones pictured with the pick. The second hold a giant hook like thing in their left hand and a lantern in their right hand. The third are similar to the second with the lantern and hook, but they typically have an oversized pistol out which they they will switch when you get close.
