Vitality is a stat in Bloodborne that determines the amount of health or hitpoints that your character has. It is an important attribute to level up.

Notes

  • Vitality's HP per point has a gradual soft cap from 30 to 50, a sharper cap above 50, and a hard cap at 99.
  • Vitality also slightly improves Stamina regeneration rate based on your equipped armor and weapons. [1]

Would be nice if sombody tested this with what gear that seemed heavyest, and loaded character full inventory of items and quick menu at 10 vit, then at 50 vit.. then empty inventory 10 vit and 50 vit... then we would be able to see if any gear has any impact.. cus the gifs above only show with 2 items of unknown type.
