Blue Elixir

blue elixir

Dubious liquid medicine used in strange experiments conducted by high ministers of the Healing Church.

A type of anesthetic that numbs the brain.
Hunters, able to retain consciousness by force of will, make use of a secondary effect of the medicine, which dilutes their presence while standing still.

Blue Elixir is a Consumable Item in Bloodborne.

Blue Elixir Usage

  • Grants stealth for 30 seconds.
  • Can not be used while other personal buffs are active.

Location

Notes

  • Can prove useful when approaching stationary enemies that would otherwise spot and engage you. (e.g. Hunter in Grand Cathedral, enemies guarding Chalice targets such as switches and sarcophagi, etc.) Drink, walk along the edge of the room, and creep up behind your prey for that first strike advantage.

These are best used for certain chalice dungeon farms in order to take the hassle out of some runs. Especially useful for triple-cursed FRC dungeons with grunts that can 1-shot you.

I used this and the gatling gun to beat that one shark guy guarding the Rakuyo hanging on the roof, made the bossfight semi easier, only problem is I didn't have quicksilver, and I was running a bloodtinge build

Best way to get a lot of these is to kill the Choir Hunter at Byrgenwerth and do the dupe glitch. Run back to Forbidden Woods to load/unload Byrgenwerth. Look up the exact locations you need to go on YT/Reddit. First 3 dropped will be where you killed them, the rest will be where the Hunter spawns. You can get the inventory max in like 10 min. Super useful item.

These things are so damn useful in FRC Dungeons. You can't imagine how many times they safed me from Superior Beings guarding Treasures or Ritekeepers in these stupid Sens fortress rooms waiting behind the Axes spamming fireballs. Use these! Walk slow and use these! They are a Lifesaver in the Dungeons.

Isz Chalice has a room on third level filled with Brainsuckers, Sniper Kin shooting Arcane rays and Werewolves. Went through x5 Confederates trying to take that room, all of them died. Popped a few of these bad boys and Solid Snake killed all of them. Lifesaver.

"Never used these because they're super conditional and I'm too anxious to put myself on a 30-second timer" gang

Great when dealing with lantern campers. I waited until their buddy made a mistake and died, used one of these, and almost rekt the host. Too bad another showed up.

This is great for navigating that part in Nightmare Frontier where those giants rain boulders on you from a distance.

I don't know if this is still up for discussion but using a Blue Elixir at the beginning of Nightmare of Mensis and in the Nightmare Frontier on the one Winter Lantern that you meet on the way to Amygala. I just tried both and neither of them seem to fall for the Blue Elixir trick.

I tried the elixier in a chalice dungeon for fun. The shooter walking with 2 dogs gave me an interesting reaction: While his 2 dogs didn't notice me even when walking directly into me, the shooter noticed me and started shooting. This consumable has interesting protperties, is it possible it acts a bit like the alluring skulls in dks, meaning the elixiers only work on "dumb" enemies?

I've been farming in Isz chalice a lot lately and once in a seriously blue moon I will get a blue elixir from an alien/kin. Even with all 3 eye runes on a 50 arcane build I only got one once in like 8 hours of farming and somehow twice in 3-4 hours on a 25 arcane build also with all 3 eye runes.

Seems to drop from any of the church enemies in the area. I got mine from a regular church guy with a staff outside the cathedral ward lantern.
