I feel sad. This perfectly describes Arianna. A contrast to her personality, she wants to be an innocent girl, but forced by life to be a prostitute. The reason she takes them off because she knows she is not innocent no more, having been, "celestial raped," by a god. THAT is the weirdest part of Bloodborne. You don't give them to an NPC, they aren't the key to some chalice dungeon treasure, you don't use them to commune with a Great One.
